Activity Time
To kick-off North Liberty Porchfest, we will have a Second line bicycle parade through the Arlington Ridge Neighborhood. A Second line parade is common in New Orleans where a brass band (the “first line”) is followed by a parade of those enjoying the music and atmosphere (the “second line”). Get all the details for how to participate here. 2:30 p.m.
Get your photo taken in our giant Porchfest rocking chair. JCI Johnson County will take a high quality photo of your group and email you a free copy. 3 - 8 p.m.
Help us create a fluid piece of art by writing your thoughts to our prompted questions about what music means to you on the giant chalkboard. 3 - 8 p.m.
Stop by the West Music instrument petting zoo! In a regular zoo you get to see animals up close. An instrument petting zoo is very similar. You'll get to see, touch, and play instruments and experiment with music. TBA
Jump around in the Mickey Mouse Maze or bounce house with a slide for hours of fun! 3 - 8 p.m.
Stop by the kids' crafts tent and make a musical instrument of your own to take home. 3 - 8 p.m.
Family Yoga. After you feed your soul with some good music, balance your body with family yoga. All ages welcome! TBA
Snapchat Geofilter photo hunt. Can you find all the geofilters around Porchfest? Snap & share to #NLPorchfest for a chance to win prizes. 3 - 8 p.m.
